Australian property developer Tim Gurner is heading to the Gold Coast, announcing the tourist hotspot is about to ‘have its largest market run in history’.

Gurner will partner with investor Wingate to build his first multi-tower precinct on the Gold Coast at 112 Ferny Avenue, near Budds Beach at Surfers Paradise, in a $600 million development that will include 500600 apartments along with retail, hospitality, and a hotel. The site had previously been approved for development with another company. “We have a very ambitious goal for this site in terms of complete offering for our clients and I believe it is something that has not been delivered in the world before and will be a surprise to the market when we can reveal it in coming months,” Mr

He’s calling on Australia’s leading architects to pitch for the job of designing the development and will submit plans for the site’s redesign to council in the next two to three months.

Gurner has already hit the Brisbane market with FV - Flatiron at 179 Alfred Street, Fortitude Valley and is active in Far North Queensland after lodging a development application for 16 luxury boutique homes and an 18-room boutique hotel in a $60 million resort project at Four Mile Beach in Port Douglas.
