THE an­nual All Holden Day is mak­ing way for the GM Roundup for all Gen­eral Mo­tors ve­hi­cles to­mor­row at the Rock­lea Show­grounds.

The FX Holden Club of Queens­land will hold the new car show to in­clude en­thu­si­asts for brands such as Pon­tiac,

Chevro­let, Buick, Oldsmo­bile, Vaux­hall and Cadil­lac as well as Holden.

It fea­tures tap­pet cover rac­ing, bash a Ford, Red Bull girls, trade stands, swap-and-sell stalls and a tour­ing car sim­u­la­tor. Swap-and-sell sites and ven­dor sites are also avail­able. Ad­mis­sion is $5 and free for chil­dren un­der 12.

Six­ties cos­tumes

JIM­BOOMBA’S an­nual Hot Rod and Bike Show is on to­mor­row.

There will be prizes for the best dressed in ’ 60s cos­tumes, plus bands and show-and-shine.

The show at Jim­boomba Park, corner South St and Mt Lin­de­say High- way, runs from 6am with free en­try for the pub­lic. If it is rain­ing, the event will be post­poned to Oc­to­ber 3.

Muscling in

AMER­I­CAN mus­cle and clas­sic cars, hot rods, pick­ups, Har­leys, and clas­sic and vet­eran bikes will be on dis­play at the Jim­boomba Ro­tary Club Hot Rod and Bike Show to­mor­row.

En­ter­tain­ment will be supplied by the Bobkats and Lisa Ker­ris and en­try is by gold coin do­na­tion. The show is at the corner of South St and Mt Lin­de­say High­way from 6am to 2pm.

4WDs tough it out

LAND Rovers and Mit­subishi 4WDs will com­pete to­day at the Scenic Rim Ad­ven­ture Park as part of the L4


Man­u­fac­tur­ers Of­froad Chal­lenge.

Com­peti­tors have the choice of four en­try lev­els, from the stan­dard 4WD, street mod­i­fied, ex­treme mod­i­fied and out­lawed/buggy ve­hi­cles. The chal­lenges are a blend of ad­ven­ture, skill and safety. The event runs from 9am to 5pm at Swan Gully Road, Bromelton, near Beaudesert.

Com­peti­tor en­try is $50 per ve­hi­cle, per class, plus camp­ing fees.
