too reckon it’s dealer spin. It’s the sort of thing a dealer says when they can’t diagnose a problem. Take it back to the dealer, tell them you are unhappy they haven’t been able to fix the problem, and take them for a drive in the car to demonstrate the problem. That way there should be no dispute over its existence.
are very happy with our 2007 Nissan Pathfinder 2.5-litre diesel automatic, but at a recent caravan rally we were informed that there was a problem with the timing belt/chain failing. The person making the claim stated that he had seen the blown motor due to a failed timing belt/chain. Nowhere in the service manual can we find a reference to the timing belt/ chain needing to be serviced and/or replaced. As we have not encountered any problems either with the vehicle, we are interested to know if you have heard of any such problems. Bill Woodhouse
