SOUTH Australian roughriders David Fellows and Mark Bergamin took last year’s Australian Off Road Championship with their turbocharged Toyota-powered Jimco racer, dominating the ProClass.

The 2010 season was marked by extreme weather conditions, with the fifth and final round at Goondiwindi cancelled because of flooding in the area.

Colin Hunter and Simon Campbell took the Extreme 4WD class in their Cherokee, Clayton Chapman and Adam McGuire won the Production 4WD class in a Triton while Jeff and Jai Loader won the performance 2WD class in a Chev-powered Navara.

Other 2010 title winners included Darryl Smith and Michael Matthews (Super 1650 buggies) plus Justin and Melissa Watt (Prolite).

The five-round Australian Off Road Championship kicks dirt again from Easter this year with the first round in Western Australia before moving on to the Finke Desert race, Griffith, Pines Enduro and then Goondiwindi.
