Stars in a material world

The Courier-Mail - Motoring - - WORKING WHEELS -

FOR forklift sales, hire and service, or any other material handling equipment requirement, one brand offers more solutions for more Australian customers, according to Queensland branch manager David Linfoot (pictured).

‘‘ That brand is Linde. We’ve got the people, the expertise, the technology and the resources to help customers succeed in any business environment,’’ he said.

Linde Material Handling is a major participant in Australia’s material handling equipment industry, with a client list which includes small, medium and large businesses and some of the best known companies in Australia.

‘‘ We are a one-stop-shop for material handling equipment requirements and we’ve won a reputation for providing premium forklift quality and performance delivered over a long, productive and cost efficient life,’’ Mr Linfoot said.

The Queensland operation is based at Larapinta, south of Brisbane, with 58 employees including 32 mobile service team members.

As the local arm of Europe’s material handling equipment powerhouse, Linde Material Handling Australia is uniquely equipped to understand the needs of customers, no matter how specialised they may be.

‘‘ From electric hand pallet jacks through to 52 tonne container forklifts and specialised warehousing equipment, there’s a Linde solution for every business,’’ Mr Linfoot said.

Based on a five-year commercial hire purchase agreement, hand pallet jacks are available from $4 per day with forklift trucks ranging between $11 and $16 per day.

A reputation for quality and performance consistently places Linde on prospective buyers’ shortlists and its market share has risen steadily.

Previously known primarily as a provider of premium quality forklifts and warehouse equipment, Linde Material Handling equipment today offers much more.

A history of innovation lies behind Linde Material Handling’s local evolution to become a major force in Australian industry.

The benefits enjoyed today by local customers are the outcome of an ongoing drive for efficiency and productivity, which has been at Linde’s core since 1907.

In those early days as a machinery builder in Germany, Linde’s engineer founders encouraged a spirit of innovation, which still keeps its designs at the forefront of material handling equipment evolution today.

A century later, that same drive for innovation has made Linde in Australia a one-stop shop for material handling solutions built on unrivalled productivity, cost efficiency, advanced safety and nationwide support.

Since 2004, the commitment to quality has broadened into a company culture which has transformed Linde and provided new options for local material handling equipment users.

‘‘ That’s been achieved not by trying to sell the most forklifts in Australia, but by selling and supporting the most productive forklifts in the world, with a focus on the outcomes that really matter - cycle times, fuel efficiency, servicing, labour and finance costs,’’ Mr Linfoot said.

‘‘ Independent tests have proven that at Linde, forklifts are up to 22 per cent more productive than their closest competitor.

‘‘ This was established using comparative published data and independent testing by Tuv Nord and was based on the Linde H25T 392 on 1000 hours use per annum.’’

The drive to innovate has shown itself in Australia through Linde field service technician vehicles fitted with GPS tracking for better fleet control and in-van terminals to provide live data feeds of service histories and billing information.

Linde has also pioneered a system of overnight parts deliveries into service vans, eliminating the dead time of returns to base for components. Call 1300 135 463 or visit www.lin
