A hub to live, work and play
OAKS Hotels and Resorts has been appointed to manage the short-stay apartment component of the $150 million Mon Komo development at Redcliffe.
The company operates hotel and resort apartment accommodation across Australia, New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates.
Oaks Hotels and Resorts chief executive Brett Pointon said Redcliffe’s variety of attractions and growing industry provided a compelling opportunity for the company.
‘‘Redcliffe is one of Brisbane’s fastest growing centres but up until now, accommodation options have been limited and are stretched to capacity to accommodate the growing traveller demand,’’ Mr Pointon said.
‘‘When you look at other developments in the region, together with future growth projection, it is obvious that there is a demand for higher end accommodation in Redcliffe and the opening of Oaks Mon Komo will satisfy that need.
‘‘Mon Komo is a unique product leading the way in Redcliffe. Guests can enjoy water views expanding the Redcliffe peninsula from their contemporary resort apartments in flexible one, two and three bedroom dual key accommodation configurations.
‘‘Mon Komo will fit in perfectly with our brand strategy, which is to offer quality accommodation options in convenient and prominent destinations.’’
Comprising 184 residential and short stay apartments with a host of facilities including a dining and retail precinct, Mon Komo will also house a hotel pub, six boutique commercial office spaces, mezzanine level conference and function facilities, gymnasiums and pools, set amid lush Caribbean inspired, subtropical gardens.
Mon Komo is being developed by the Kyko Group and development director Bill Jenkings said the company had invested a lot of time in researching the right hotel operator.
‘‘Mon Komo has been carefully designed to offer an enhanced lifestyle for residents who can live, work and play in the one hub,’’ he said.
