Place to be in Dutton Park
CONSTRUCTION is set to begin in April at Stockwell’s new Dutton Park development, with 65 per cent of units sold already.
Dutton Place features a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments across four buildings and in a range of floorplans.
Starting price for a one-bedroom apartment is $370,000, with the twobedroom floorplans priced from $545,000.
‘‘Site preparation and preliminary earthworks are underway and builders will be on site from April. Everything is running to schedule,’’ Stockwell development manager Sharon Waddell said.
The development is not being built in stages with all four buildings scheduled for completion by the first half of 2012.
The apartments will feature quality finishes and fixtures, stainless steel appliances, airconditioning, broadband internet and provision for cable television and secure access.
Another modern bonus is Telstra’s announcement that it will install optic fibre cabling to each apartment, free of charge.
Optic fibre cabling enables super fast internet at 100mb per second compared to the current 30mb per second currently available.
The development is close to Park Road and Dutton Park train stations and is directly opposite the Boggo Road Urban Village.
Ms Waddell said the Dutton Place site was not affected by the January floods and the area remained popular with renters given its proximity to both the PA and Mater hospital precincts and The University of Queenland at St Lucia.
‘‘When completed in 2012, it will provide living close to critical infrastructure such as the hospitals, the major transport links and universities,’’ Ms Waddell said.
‘‘Demand for rental accommodation will remain strong through 2012 and completion of Dutton Place will add much needed rental stock.’’
