New owners claim keys to an original
A THREE-BEDROOM residence in New Farm sold to a young couple for $1.23 million at an on-site auction on July 12.
Marketing agent Matt Lancashire from Ray White New Farm said the auction at 547 Lower Bowen Tce attracted 17 registered bidders and 75 people.
Auctioneer Haesley Cush took an opening bid of $950,000 from the floor, while bidding paused at $1.1 million before the sale price of $1.23 million was reached.
Mr Lancashire said the property was an original renovator in one of New Farm’s most charming and coveted addresses.
The inner-city cottage is set on 498sq m, with a 12.6m frontage, and is close to the area’s cafe, restaurant and entertainment precinct.
Featuring an elevated single level of living, the house boasts decorative light fixtures, soft pastel tones and an open-plan living and dining area, flowing through to a sunroom.
Two bedrooms include builtin wardrobes, while the third has an adjoining sleepout. A kitchen and bathroom are also on the upper level, with a laundry, storage area and carport set underneath.
