Seeds of doubt planted

Even though I was very young when Bronia Armstrong (“Murder in the frame”, April 12-13) was killed, I remember the devastation this case caused. I wish Reg Brown’s two granddaughters all the best in clearing their grandfather’s name. After reading Matthew Condon’s book Three Crooked Kings, I was amazed at the huge amount of graft and corruption in the police force in those days, especially under Frank Bischof’s reign of terror; so go to it, girls, and do your grandfather proud.

It was confronting, alarming and concerning that such anomalies occurred in the process of a murder investigation in 1947. Congratulations to Deb Drummond and Janice Teunis on their commitment to research and their attempts to unearth factors and incongruities associated with the mysterious death of Bronia Armstrong and the conviction of their grandfather, Reg Brown.
