Top-scoring scribes

The Courier-Mail - QWeekend - - UPFRONT -

On reading the recent columns by Mike O’Connor and Mary-Rose MacColl (Wry Side, Oct 10-11), I feel compelled to write and award both a “10” for their contributions: “Let’s not play the race or gender card” and “Evolving doors”. What wonderful writers we have in Australia. May they continue to thrive for many years. We are bombarded with so much from overseas countries in every facet of journalism that I fear our future generations will not know what being Australian is all about. I once treasured china that was made in England; these days I make sure that the Australian-manufactured pieces I still have are handled with the greatest of care.
