ON FRIDAY, in the morning, at St John’s Cathedral, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, attended the Palliative Care Queensland Thanksgivi­ng Service to celebrate National Palliative Care Week, where the Governor delivered a reading.

In the afternoon, at the Maleny Showground­s, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey attended the 78th Maleny Agricultur­al Show, where the Governor addressed guests and officially opened the Show.

On Saturday, in the morning, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey departed Brisbane for an official visit to Springsure, Central Queensland.

Following, at the Springsure Showground­s, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended the 150th Springsure Pastoral and Agricultur­al Show, where the Governor addressed guests and officially opened the Show, before returning to Brisbane. Earlier in the morning, at Anzac Square, Flight Lieutenant Rob Moran, representi­ng the Governor, attended the United Nations Associatio­n of Australia, Queensland 68th Anniversar­y of United Nations Peace Keeping Service, where Flight Lieutenant Moran read the UN Secretary-General’s message and laid the first wreath.

On Sunday, in the morning, at RAAF Base Amberley, Flight Lieutenant Moran, representi­ng the Governor, attended the Queensland University Squadron Branch, RAAF Associatio­n, Queensland Division, 2015 Bomber Command Commemorat­ive Service, where Flight Lieutenant Moran laid the first wreath.
