Taxi driver in sex case
A BRISBANE taxi driver befriended an intellectually disabled passenger before inviting her to his home and molesting her, a court has heard.
The 47-year-old appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court yesterday charged with six indecency offences and three unrelated drugs charges.
It’s alleged he molested the 28-year-old woman on at least three separate occasions at his home in Brisbane’s southeast during the past three months.
Defence lawyer Fiona Graham said her client was single and cared for an elderly man while battling a number of health issues. He was granted bail by Magistrate Chris Callaghan on the condition he had no contact with the woman.
The case is due to return to court on June 22.
