GREAT ESCAPE FOR AZALEA
AFTER cancelling The Great Escape tour without a specific excuse on Friday, Iggy Azalea has partied for her man’s 30th birthday at the Playhouse Nightclub in the US, leaving fans scratching their heads.
The 24-year-old rap star announced the news via Twitter with a flood of commenters asking why.
Azalea wrote on her social media account: “As u may know, the tour is cancelled. I’m so sad and sorry to let my fans down ... we’ll be back out on the road when the next album is done.”
Hours later, Azalea was spotted partying with her LA Lakers beau Nick Young, quashing speculation she may have been ill.
The sports star has littered his Instagram page with pictures of the night.
One picture of him with Azalea on the dance floor says: “Having a good time.”
Another post of Young at the nightclub said: “BDay weekend #SwagSwag #SwaggyWeekend I’m just being me hated or love it.”
Azalea abruptly cancelled the US tour and had already postponed the live dates earlier in the year, sparking rumours the tour could be scrapped altogether.
But her team insisted her act just needed “more time in development”.
Ticket-holders of the cancelled shows were reportedly told: “There will be a new tour planned around Iggy’s new record to be released in 2016.”
