Busy blaming Newman

CAMPBELL Newman must have been extremely busy during his tenure as premier.

According to the LNP, he was solely responsible for every decision made by his government, especially the bad ones ( C-M, May 30).

No wonder many decent people don’t want to get involved in politics. Barry George, Bray Park YOUR Editorial ( C-M, Jun 1), in its summation of the successes of the former Newman government, linked the anti-bikie laws with LNP success in the 10 Gold Coast electorates.

In eight of those seats the ALP secured a double-digit swing in its favour. Francis Carroll, Moorooka WE KEEP hearing that the state Labor government is “listening to the people”.

This follows a rise in water rates, vehicle registration and driving licences in the past few weeks. We’re all being taken for an expensive ride.

Where are you Campbell Newman? All is forgiven. Chris Banks, West End
