NATURAL therapies are increasingly popular extras, as health fund payouts almost trebled in the past five years to $47 million in the March quarter, up from $19 million in the same period in 2010.

This comes as no surprise to Nicole Walsh, who owns inyoga studio in Sydney.

“More people are doing yoga and wanting to get the benefits from their health fund,” she says.

She says she is testament to the benefits of preventitive health.

“I do have health insurance but I don’t often use it as I never get sick,” Walsh says.
