Flights resume after Bali ash cloud clears
FLIGHTS in and out of Bali h have resumed after favourable wind changes cleared the volcanic ash cloud that has caused h havoc over the past month.
Both Jetstar and Virgin Australia restored flights yesterday and announced add ditional flights to return st stranded passengers from Bali to Australia.
Bureau of Meteorology fo forecaster Chris Davies said co conditions are expected to re- main fine for the next few days.
Virgin Australia had earlier cancelled services in and out of Bali’s Denpasar Airport yesterday morning.
Garuda Indonesia airline also announced it had resumed flights to and from Denpasar Airport yesterday.
The Mt Raung volcano has caused mayhem for airlines and travellers since it began spewing corrosive, silica-based ash early last month.
