RED CROSS EXPENDITUR­E London, Monday – The Daily Chronicle’s Melbourne representa­tive says: Demands have arisen for details of the expenditur­e of the Australian Red Cross contributi­ons. Sir George Reid, High Commission­er for Australia, who has been interviewe­d, states that he received £109,000 for the Red Cross Society. Until the Australian­s came into action there was little call on the funds, but there have been heavy disburseme­nts since April.
