IT’S the wax figure sculpted to celebrate the life and passions of Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin.

Madame Tussauds Sydney has unveiled their latest sculpture of Irwin, who died in 2006. It has Irwin’s trademark khaki shirt, shorts, socks and desert boots, which were donated by his family.

“We were thrilled when Madame Tussauds approached us to create Steve’s wax figure,” Terri Irwin said.

“I’m truly amazed at how much work has gone into making his likeness as authentic as possible.”

Madame Tussauds studio manager Zoe Walton said the figure had harnessed Irwin’s “cheeky look and that twinkle in his eye” which is known around the world.
