Domino’s deliveries hard to top

TIME-starved pizza lovers can guarantee quick delivery if they pay for it, under a new Domino’s strategy to grab a bigger slice of the market.

And extras such as churros, doughnuts and pulled pork are likely to be on the menu.

The Queensland fast-food giant announced plans to lure more customers away from drive-thrus and food fads with new menu items and a 15 and 20-minute delivery guarantee.

The new delivery system will put pizza in the hands of customers for a fee of $3 in 20 minutes and $5 in 15 minutes.

Vouchers for a free pizza will be handed out if the order arrives late, though the guarantees will be available only to those who live within a certain distance of a Domino’s store.

The new measures are part of a push by Domino’s after a 40 per cent lift in profit growth announced yesterday. BUSINESS P24
