Look isn’t a test of tasty food


YOUR Taste liftout ( C-M, Aug 11) showed us how top chefs achieve presentati­on to die for. This supposes the average family meal preparer has the time to emulate such techniques and the average family will really appreciate the skills mum or dad have shown. I think not. Restaurant presentati­on is not for the average household. Nothing beats a simply plated meal. The first mouthful of food in a fancy restaurant can destroy any semblance of a gastronomi­c masterpiec­e. Ken Johnston, Rochedale South
