Lazy men divorced

WOMEN are more likely than men to seek a divorce because they get frustrated that men do not pull their weight when it comes to housework and childcare.

Women initiate divorce 69 per cent of the time, a study of couples in the US found, which is a similar proportion to official figures in Britain.

By comparison, there was no statistical difference between men and women initiating the break-up if they were just dating or cohabiting.

Study leader Professor Michael Rosenfeld, from Stanford University, California, said that marriage does not always meet expectations set by feminism.
