Snaps pick of amazing world

THESE stunning pictures show the best of landscape photography and our amazing world.

They are the finest entries from the annual International Landscape Photographer of the Year awards.

The terrifying wave in the main picture was taken by Warren Keelan, who specialises in seascapes. He said on his website: “I’ve always had a fascination with nature, especially the ocean and its ever-changing forms.” The picture won third prize.

In first place was a collection of work from Luke Austin, of Perth, who turned in a series illustrating the brutality of Australia’s weather, including the effect on a stand of trees (right).

The vibrant rock pool (left) was shot somewhere in the north of Western Australia by Matt Hutton and reflects the secret places of our land. WWW. INTERNATIONALLANDSCAPEPHOTOGRAPHER.COM
