Japan jet in air drama

TOKYO: A Boeing 777 operated by Japan’s All Nippon Airways has made an emergency landing in Osaka after suffering engine trouble.

The airline said none of the 246 passengers or 11 crew were injured. The flight from Osaka was Tokyo-bound but after departure the pilots encountered power problems with the left engine and abnormal temperatures in the engine’s emissions, an ANA spokeswoman said.

All passengers and crew safely exited from the plane after the emergency landing and the airline is investigating the incident, she added.
