RECRUITING STATISTICS Satisfacto­ry progress was made yesterday in the matter of volunteers offering themselves for service. Town and country alike responded to the call, the total number accepted, as supplied by the authoritie­s at Victoria Barracks, being 132. At the barracks, 45 recruits offered their services, of which 39 were accepted, while at the Kodak rooms 52 officers were received and 39 applicants were successful. In the country, Toowoomba headed the list with 21.
