AUSTRALIA’S women’s quad scullers have booked a place in their final at the world rowing championsh­ips in France by winning their heat.

Queensland­ers Jessica Hall and Madeleine Edmunds and crewmates Kerry Hore and Jennifer Cleary beat China and the US in their heat in Aiguebelet­te.

Toowong’s Tim McDonnell made the quarter-finals of the lightweigh­t men’s single scull with second in his repechage.

Double scullers Sally Kehoe and Olympia Aldersey will go to the repechage tonight (Qld time) after being runners-up behind Lithuania in their heat.
