SHOULDN’T I BE ON AIR?

- NATHANAEL COOPER

TROUBLED radio presenter Ash Bradnam has met with his Nova bosses before his next court appearance on Tuesday.

Bradnam, who was charged with drink-driving in May, was suspended from Nova and has been undergoing rehabilitation for alcohol addiction. The group were spotted at a restaurant near Bradnam’s home on the Gold Coast.

It is understood Nova are keen to bring Bradnam back on board, pend- ing the outcome of his court appearance next week.

Nova Brisbane general manager Jay Walkerden did not comment when contacted by The Courier-Mail.

It is allegedly Bradnam’s second drink-driving offence since 2009, when he was banned from driving for 18 months. He was sacked by Nova at the time.

Bradnam spoke about his alcohol addiction on-air last month with breakfast co-hosts Kip Wightman and David “Luttsy” Lutteral.

He will face Southport Magistrates Court and is expected to plead guilty.
