‘Superfly’ wrestles with cold case murder charge

NEW JERSEY: Wrestling legend Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka has been charged with the murder of his girlfriend more than 30 years ago.o.

Snuka (pic- tured), now 72, will face charges of third-degree murder and in- voluntary man- slaughter overr the death of Nancy Argentino in May 1983. Shee died after an assault lt at t a motel.

Snuka was arrested at his New Jersey home and appeared briefly in court before being sent to Lehigh County Jail under $100,000 bail.

The investigation into Ms Argentino’s death was reo opened by prosecuto tors last year after a p previously unrele leased autopsy report indicated the case was a homicide.

At the time S Snuka was married to another woman a and was one of wrestl wrestling’s biggest stars, renowned for his signature move, the Superfly Splash, where he leapt off the ring’s top rope onto his opponent.
