Wyndham collects Thai hotel
THE Gold Coast’s Wyndham Hotel Group is continuing its march into southeast Asia with the opening of a new Ramada hotel in Thailand.
Wyndham has added the Ramada Phuket Deevana at Patong Beach to its portfolio. The $38 million development, owned by Deevana Hotels and Resorts, joins four existing Ramada hotels in Thailand.
Wyndham said Thailand was a key part of its development strategy in the region because of its consistent appeal to international travellers.
The group recently signed up Ramada properties in Broome and Auckland, has agreements for 17 new Ramada properties in South Korea, to open by 2018, and has plans for eight new Ramada properties in China, due to open in 2017.
