HIGH PRICE OF HAVING A BITE TO EAT WITH HUGH

-

HUGH Jackman is one of Australia’s most popular celebrities and he proved it on Saturday night when a mystery man paid $50,000 just to have dinner with him.

After a bidding war at the Fight Cancer Foundation’s Red Ball in Melbourne, the fan won the dinner, which will be held at billionaire Lindsay Fox’s mansion, with Jackman and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness (pictured). It is understood Jackman could provide some show tunes at the dinner, which will be catered for by Peter Rowland with selected wines from the Fox family cellar.

Jackman’s star power was a big winner for the Red Ball, with the Les Miserables actor also raising another $100,000 after 10 tables paid $10,000 each for some tickets and a private meeting with him at his upcoming stage show.
