HI-5ER HAD A LAD IN
EX OUTS LAUREN FOR FOOTY SHOW HI-INFIDELITY
CHANNEL 9’s Footy Show will be heading into its highest-rating period of the year without its most dynamic panel member, funnyman Beau Ryan.
Channel 9 sources confirmed yesterday the former Sharks winger had stood down from his television commitments indefinitely following allegations of an affair with former Hi-5 children’s entertainer Lauren Brant.
Brant’s ex-fiance Warren Riley aired the claims in a magazine interview, claiming she and Ryan met while working on the Aladdin and his Wondrous Lamp stage production earlier this year.
“He has issues he is dealing with that are more important at the moment,” said a network source.
Ryan, 30, who found offfield fame with his Footy Show segment Beau Knows, married long-time partner Kara Orrell in October 2012. Their daughter Remi turned two in January.
Despite Ryan’s issues, Brant was decidedly more upbeat amid yesterday’s allegations, posting Instagram pics of herself and her dog with the caption: “Who said Monday’s have to be dreaded?”
Riley and Brant, 26, who appeared as a contestant on I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Outta Here in January, were planning their wedding for this month but have since split.
“On our first night in New Zealand she was behaving very differently,” Riley told Woman’s Day.
“I quickly ducked back to the room and her phone was there, so I looked at it.
“There were messages between her and one of her friends ... (who) was asking her, ‘what’s up between you and Beau – you seem like you have a complicated relationship. The friend kept pressing her about it and Lauren allegedly confirmed the relationship.
“She told me to sit down and she owned up to everything,” Riley said.
Ryan, a regular on Nine’s NRL Footy Show, was being sought for commment last night.
A Nine spokesperr- son said when con- tacted last night: t: “Beau and his familyy
are on holiday.””
