WITH OUR BOYS Ipswich, September 7 – Private Jack Merrell has sent to his mother, Mrs F.W. Merrell, of East Ipswich, a postcard made out of the bottom of a cardboard box, and written on it, “Made in Turkey”. In a note, in pencil, he says: “Just a line to let you know I am in the best of health. In fact, there is very little sickness among the troops. We are quite settled down as far as war is concerned, and take no notice of shot and shell. We long for the Turks to attack us. We think it good sport.”
