Flat out for cup
AS the contenders for Australia’s Davis Cup team prepare for the semi-final against Great Britain, key opponent Andy Murray fears being “flat” after the US Open.
With Australia’s top male players all out of the US Open, preparations have begun for the semi-final in Glasgow.
Murray will lead the British team against Australia, who have made the semi-finals for the first time since 2006.
“Obviously if I was to lose in the next round I’d have more time to prepare for the Davis Cup,” the world No.3 told The Guardian. He had considered that he might be flat by the time he gets to Glasgow.
