DRAGONS AREN’T HERE FOR FUN

-

DRAGONS skipper Ben Creagh insists his unfancied side aren’t about to waste their first finals opportunity in four years, despite conceding opponents Canterbury have a big experience edge in knockout games.

The Dragons will make their first finals appearance since 2011 when they play the Bulldogs in an elimination final at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium on Saturday.

Conversely, the Bulldogs have made the finals in each of the last four years and were beaten grand finalists in 2012 and 2014.

“It definitely gives the Bulldogs an advantage,” said Creagh (above), one of only five current Dragons who played in the 2011 finals team.

“In saying that we’ve got some young guys getting their first taste of finals footy ... that’s exciting.’’
