FILM’S PIGGY BANK IS EMPTY

-

FILMING on the Queensland production of Boar has come to a screeching halt as they search for a loose $250,000.

Production has been forced to stop on the horror movie that stars

John Jarratt, Hugh Sheridan (above) and Melissa Tkautz as investor funds have dried up. After pitching in more than $1.6 million, the backers have this week failed to come up with the funds to see through the final five days of filming.

The film’s director, Chris Sun (pictured right with Jarratt and Tkautz), said the extra $250,000 was predominantly for the crew’s wages.

Sun, who brought Charlie’s Farm to Queensland, assured Confidential that the film, being made in Gympie, would be completed.

“I am confident, we will do whatever it takes,” he said. “I am going to finish the f ---ing film.”

Production will break for two weeks in the hope finances will be sorted to complete the filming.
