Judged a popular choice


THE courting days of Attorney-General Yvette D’Ath are over. After all the disappoint­ment surroundin­g former chief justice Tim Carmody, Justice Catherine Holmes has been appointed Queensland’s new chief justice ( C-M, Sep 8). The fact she is Queensland’s first female chief justice will please many. What is refreshing is that the choice of this state high school-educated judge is a popular one among the legal fraternity.
