IN THE DARDANELLE­S: Athens, Tuesday – A British destroyer on Sunday bombarded the Turkish batteries at Dikili, and destroyed a building used by German officers. Simultaneo­usly a French warship destroyed the batteries at Cape Karanourno­n, in the Gulf of Smyrna. Since the extension of the British front, following the landing at Suvla Bay, the intensity of the Turkish gunfire at Achi Baba has appreciabl­y diminished.
