COBALT VET TO PLEAD FOR LENIENCE

-

THE Flemington vet linked to trainers Danny O’Brien and Mark Kavanagh will plead for his professional life in Sydney tomorrow.

Flemington Equine Centre’s Tom Brennan is facing disqualification from NSW racing after being found guilty of 12 charges relating to the Sam Kavanagh cobalt case.

Brennan will make a submission to Racing NSW stewards before they hand down their penalty.

The case against him was damning. In a written report of their findings, stewards found Brennan supplied two $1000 bottles of a “vitamin complex” containing cobalt to Sam Kavanagh. Vitamins usually cost about $50.
