Review call for NAPLAN
EDUCATION Minster Grace Grace says she will continue to call for a federal review of NAPLAN testing and wants a renewed focus on writing tests.
The Sunday-Mail yesterday revealed many regional public schools and low-fee religious schools were upstaging expensive and sought-after schools in NAPLAN exams. “I’m particularly pleased to see some of our regional and remote schools are punching above their weight,” Ms Grace said.
She said that she would continue calling for “an indepth, national review to look at all of the pros and cons of the NAPLAN tests after ten years of implementation”.
