Re­view call for NAPLAN

ED­U­CA­TION Min­ster Grace Grace says she will con­tinue to call for a fed­eral re­view of NAPLAN test­ing and wants a re­newed fo­cus on writ­ing tests.

The Sun­day-Mail yes­ter­day re­vealed many re­gional pub­lic schools and low-fee re­li­gious schools were up­stag­ing ex­pen­sive and sought-af­ter schools in NAPLAN ex­ams. “I’m par­tic­u­larly pleased to see some of our re­gional and re­mote schools are punch­ing above their weight,” Ms Grace said.

She said that she would con­tinue calling for “an in­depth, na­tional re­view to look at all of the pros and cons of the NAPLAN tests af­ter ten years of im­ple­men­ta­tion”.
