Taxi driver ‘robbed’
TWO teenage boys allegedly threatened and robbed a taxi driver on the Gold Coast.
Police say that the 39-yearold taxi driver picked up the pair at Paradise Point at about 1.30am yesterday, and drove them to a service station at Hope Island.
One boy allegedly claimed that they had weapons and demanded money from the driver. They took his bag and fled, police said.
Officers from the dog squad later found two boys, aged 13 and 17.
The teenagers were yesterday speaking with police.
