Star emerges from shadow of parents

The Courier-Mail - - CONFIDENTIAL -

RISING star Jett Kenny (pictured) says he is happy to live in the shadow of his famous parents.

“My parents are known everywhere, but not me,” Kenny, 23, the lifesaver son of triathlon superstars Grant Kenny and Lisa Curry, said.

So it surprised the Sunshine Coast local to learn that he was the one now in the public eye. “Mum said she was at the shops and someone asked if she was Jett Kenny’s mother,” he said. “That’s kind of funny, because I always feel like I’m just their son. They’ll always be the famous ones because they’ve done such amazing things, and I’ll just be me.”

Kenny shot to prominence this year after starring in Channel 7’s The Real Full Monty, and competing on Nine’s Australian Ninja Warrior.

Last month, David Jones also signed him up to walk the runway alongside Jessica Gomes and Karolina Kurkova.
