THESE shoes were made for walking, and that’s just what they’ll do when they are snapped up at the World’s Biggest Garage Sale next Saturday.

Volunteers spent yesterday unpacking boxes filled with 7000 pairs of shoes donated by not-for-profit Good360.

“We are going to set some budgets and try to hit some milestones on trying to see how many pairs of shoes we can sell,” World’s Biggest Garage Sale creator Yasmin Grigaliunas said.

“The Brisbane community love quality and they love a bargain.”

The event, which started as a garage sale to get rid of unused items and to raise money for children’s cancer, now donates hundreds of thousands of dollars to charity benefactors, including The Courier-Mail Children’s Fund.

Donations can be made at Unit 6, Arcadia Industrial Estate, 836 Boundary Rd, Coopers Plains, or you can book a pick-up online.
