Fears Husar is headed for the crossbench

The Courier-Mail - - NEWS -

THERE are renewed fears embattled Labor MP Emma Husar will quit and go to the crossbench after she was yesterday officially disendorsed as the party’s candidate for her western Sydney seat.

Ms Husar said she would not stand at next year’s election after allegations she had mist treated staff, but then changed h her mind. The Lindsay MP has now launched defamation proceedings against Buzzfeed, claiming reporting of false allegations of misconduct and harassment had ruined her career.

The administrative committee of NSW Labor met yesterday morning and decided to formally withdraw her as the party’s candidate. A number of Labor MPs said they feared she would go to the crossbench.
