CAPE FEAR AS GHOST SHIP LEAVES OLD HAUNT

Vandals hit home site

The Courier-Mail - - NEWS -

VANDALS have defied extra security at the TriCare development site at Carina Heights to graffiti the last remaining building.

TriCare undertook demolition of the derelict buildings and a massive clean-up last year after the site had been plagued by fires, vandalism and graffiti since the Salvin Park nursing home closed in early-2014.

Brightly coloured tagging is now noticeable from Creek Rd, covering one side of the building and is also sprayed on the side of a fire hydrant box outside the boundary fence.

The company intends to build 201 retirement units and a 163-bed residential care facility on the site over five stages.
