Police arrest man after Coast hunt
A FIVE-DAY manhunt across the Sunshine Coast for a man allegedly involved in a string of violent offences has ended with his arrest.
Specialist police and detectives raided a property at Yandina on Thursday where they found the man and a woman he was believed to be hiding with.
Kendall Arthur Poole, 38, was on Thursday charged with one count of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, armed robbery, assault occasioning bodily harm, common assault and threats. Detectives had appealed to the public for information on the whereabouts of Poole who was believed to be camping at Coochin Creek. Poole is alleged to have punched and kicked another man known to him on December 19 at Bribie Island.
The man was found with a serious head injury and had to be taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
A 38-year-old woman was also taken into custody and is assisting with inquiries. Poole was due to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court yesterday.
