Kevvie makes the tough call

INNER-CITY footy fans are in for a rare treat if million-dollar man Anthony Milford runs out for Souths Logan Magpies at Davies Park in West End on Sunday.

Not only will they get to watch a player who at his peak was as exciting as any in the competition, the extra media attention will make the Intrust Super Cup clash feel like the big time.

The Milford saga seems to be coming to a sad conclusion for all involved. The Broncos made him their first million-dollar player in 2017, but the contract has been a millstone around Milford’s neck and he has never been able to match the brilliance of his breakout 2016 season.

Finally it looks like coach Kevin Walters has had enough, with Milford set to be dropped.

Maybe this tough call will be the making of Walters at Red Hill. Surely it can’t get much worse.
