IT WAS interestin­g to read the article (C-M, Apr 12) about online learning during the COVID-19 lockdown, and that so many students felt they were “locked in a cage”.

This shows that most students need, and want, proper connection with peers and teachers.

These children also need connection with real books and handwritin­g, listening to different ideas and reading body language, as well as enjoying being at school and playing real games outside.
