All eyes on best album gig
QUEENSLAND’S established and emerging music stars will go head-to-head for the state’s album of the year at a sold-out Queensland Music Awards next month.
After revealing the first round of finalists last week, Qmusic will today announce that veteran Brisbane band Ball Park Music, Megan Washington, Cub Sport and Miiesha have been nominated for the best album gong.
It’s a leading fourth nomination for Miiesha for her debut album Nyaaringu, which also earnt her nominations at both the ARIA and APRA Awards.
Ball Park Music, also nominated in the rock category for their self-titled sixth album, will perform at the Fortitude Music Hall event, alongside breakout artist and pop nominee Sycco, No Money Enterprise, The Beddy Rays and MZAZA.
Tickets to the May 5 ceremony were sold out in days.
