GLIDER RESCUED

A PARAGLIDER who crashed yesterday was lowered safely to the ground after she was stuck in a tree for three hours.

Emergency services were called at 11.28am after the woman landed in a tree canopy at Beechmont, near Rosins Lookout Conservati­on Park in the Gold Coast hinterland, according to a spokesman from Queensland Fire and Emergency Services.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokespers­on said the woman was transporte­d to Gold Coast University Hospital. She was pictured walking away from the scene with assistance.
