JAB IN FLYING RULES

-

AUSTRALIAN athletes have expressed concerns about being forced to get the jab to compete in Tokyo.

The Australian Olympic Committee chief Matt Carroll said: “It’s a decision of the athlete, it’s not compulsory to be vaccinated” (C-M, Apr 13).

As I expect Qantas will fly Olympic athletes to and from the venue, I think the airline’s boss Alan Joyce may have something to say about that.

We can only hope he relinquishes his previously stated stance on ensuring mandatory COVID-19 vaccination to travel on his airline. Jim Simpson, Westcourt
