GILLS GREEN SHIP TEcHNOLOGy

The Daily Examiner - - ADVERTORIAL -

Harwood Marine have been working on a Ship Green Technology since 2009 with Japanese inventors for reducing energy and greenhouse gas emissions from large ships.

Today trials have been carried out in Europe, Japan and Philippines, with encouraging results of a 10% reduction in fuel and greenhouse gases, using turbulence modulation drag reduction on the ship’s hull.

The UK daily mail reported on November 22nd 2009, that just 16 large container ships produce more Sulphur pollution, than all the cars in the world combined.

So if we can generate a saving of 10% on these ships, that would remove the pollution of 1 tenth of all the cars in the world. This is a very valuable technology to pursue.
